Please read the following three example dialogs.
Example 1
Simon: Good morning William. How have you been?
William: Oh hi Simon, long time no see. Good thanks, How are things going in your section?
Simon: Not great to be honest, we’re not sure if we’ll be able to hold the meeting with Yonzen Group at the upcoming trade show in Florida.
William: Oh, that’s too bad. What happened?
Simon: Well, unfortunately they’re dealing with an emergency situation at one of their plants and have indicated that they may have to cancel.
William: Alright, well, do you know whether John confirmed the shipment for November? No doubt he did, but just to make sure.
Simon: I have no idea, sorry. I’ll ask John to email you on that later on.
Example 2
Paul: Hey Craig, do you have any idea what time the wrap up meeting is scheduled for next month?
Craig: Hi Paul, I’m not really sure, but I heard Megumi say it will probably be on the last Thursday.
Paul: Okay, thanks. Oh, one more thing, sorry.
Craig: No problem.
Paul: Do you think the final draft version of the template will be ready in time?
Craig: It’s unlikely. We still don’t have the final design.
Paul: Okay, I’ll see what I can do to help speed up the process.
Craig: Thanks, that would be much appreciated.
Example 3
Cathy: Hey Susan, how was your business trip to Japan?
Susan: Hello Cathy, I had a great time, thanks. The meeting went well and our clients took us to a beautiful golf course in Karuizawa on Friday afternoon.
Cathy: Sounds great. I love Karuizawa.
Susan: Yes, it’s a nice place. Hey, do you know if Carl will be attending the event next week?
Cathy: I don’t think so. He’s still in Germany, as far as I’m aware.
Susan: Right, well, could you let me know when he gets back? Maybe we could all go for a round of golf somewhere? I hope you have time?
Cathy: Of course, sounds great!
