Please read the following three examples dialogs
Example 1
Simon: Hey Alexander, how was your day? All set for the meeting tomorrow?
Alexander: Hey Simon. Actually, not really. I was going to finish my presentation slides today, but I was too busy.
Simon: Is there anything I can help you with?
Alexander: Well, I still have 10 more slides to complete. Could you help me create these organizational charts?
Simon: Sure, no problem. Let me just grab a coffee.
Alexander: Thank you so much. I’m sorry about this, but I’ve just been catching up on a ton of work since my business trip last month.
Simon: No problem, I’ll be back in a sec.
Example 2
Alexander: Good afternoon William. How are things? Did you have that meeting with Yonzen group?
William: Good morning Alexander. We had planned to meet with Ms. Sakamoto on Aug 10th, but the meeting was pushed back to Aug 20th.
Alexander: So, they’re still undecided on the features they’d like to include.
William: Yep, but to be fair, it is a huge decision for them. I have Yuko on the case and she’s been doing a fantastic job with the negotiations.
Alexander: Great, Yuko is super diligent.
William: Indeed she is. I’ll give you an update in the meeting on Friday.
Alexander: Sure thing. See you then.
Example 3
William: Hi Simon, how was your weekend?
Simon: Hey William. I was supposed to meet my friend this weekend, but she couldn’t come to Tokyo, because of the flooding in Kyushu, where she’s from.
William: Oh yes, I saw it on the news. Really devastating.
Simon: Yes. How about you? What did you get up to?
William: Nothing much. Just stayed at home and finally finished that book I was telling you about last time. I was scheduled to meet my customer today, but she had to reschedule, so I didn’t have to prepare the slides.
Simon: Sounds relaxing. Hey, would you mind lending me that book?
William: Sure, I’ll bring it in tomorrow.
Simon: Great, thanks.
