Activity 01 – Example dialogs

Scenario 1   Alexander is having a hard time with Demand Generation and developing leads. 
Alexander: I still haven’t heard back from my contact at Yonzen group. What do you think I should do? 

Simon: When exactly did you send the follow up report? 

Alexander: About three days ago. I was thinking of giving them a call, but I’m not sure who I should ask for. Do you have any suggestions?

Simon: I wouldn’t do anything before next Wednesday as I heard that there is another meeting scheduled for this Friday related to another matter involving the partner. My advice is to wait until you’ve gotten an update on that meeting from Ikeda-san. 

Alexander: Okay, I’ll wait for the update then, thanks a lot.
Scenario 2   Gina is asking William for advice on how to deal with a complaint.
Gina: Hey William, I have a question about the escalation procedure. Do you have a minute?

William: Sure, what’s the issue?

Gina: Well, one of my customers is complaining about something contract related and I referred him to the correct person last week, but he keeps bringing it up with other members. What do you suggest I do in this situation?

William: I see, well, I’d advise you to let Ito-san know about it. She dealt with a similar problem a few years back and told me to let her know if we encounter something like that again. 

Gina: Okay, thanks. I’ll send her an email right away. 

William: Good luck. 
Scenario 3   Simon is looking for suggestions on filling a role at an upcoming event. 
Simon: So, that’s everything I wanted to say about the assigned role for next month. Thank you all for listening. If you have any suggestions on who should take on the role of main presenter on the 15th, please let me know. 

Alexander: Thanks Simon. Have you considered asking Asama-san? She’s a relative newcomer, but she did an outstanding job two months ago at the Yonzen group meeting. 

Simon: Actually, I was considering asking her. Do you know whether she’d be available? 

Alexander: I’m not sure, why don’t you email her manager after this. I’m sure you can arrange things with her.
